Job summary

Cobb is hiring for a hatchery assistant to support chick room operations. You will clean hatchery equipment, transfer chicks, and help manage egg handling while maintaining strict biosecurity protocols.

The role requires physical stamina for shift work and adherence to safety guidelines; prior poultry or production experience is preferred. Training starts on day one with full benefits and a 40-hour work week in the 2nd shift.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no major gaps in the past 36 months.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize hatchery equipment using high pressure and water hose.
• Transfer baby chicks from hatching baskets to chick boxes.
• Monitor and record temperatures in hatchers/setters; set eggs.
• Load/unload egg/chick trucks; maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Follow biosecurity/animal welfare guidelines and wear required PPE.
