Job summary

Slate is seeking a Group Leader for the General Assembly Crew B in Warsaw to supervise daily assembly operations and lead a team of Team Leaders and Team Members. The role focuses on delivering timely, quality production of automotive trim, chassis, or final line components, while upholding safety and continuous improvement practices.

Responsibilities include coordinating with planning, logistics, and engineering to optimize work flow, enforcing OSHA safety standards, and driving cost reductions

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• Automotive OEM experience preferred.
• Experience with Just-In-Time (JIT) manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations ensuring timely and quality production of automotive Trim, Chassis, or Final Line.
• Collaborate with production planning, logistics, and engineering to optimize workflow and resolve bottlenecks.
• Enforce safety standards, OSHA regulations, and environmental compliance.
• Lead, coach, and develop production Team Leaders and Team Members.
• Drive lean manufacturing initiatives and 5S, Kaizen, and other process improvements.
• Track KPIs (OEE, scrap rate, downtime, labor efficiency) and report to senior management.
