Job summary

CANPACK Group is seeking a maintenance technician for night shift to keep power press machinery (Cuppers, Body Makers, Trimmers, Balers, Conveyance Mats) running at peak efficiency within quality specs. You will perform preventative maintenance, grease points, align machines, and replace tooling.

Responsibilities include reading DWGs, documenting tooling usage, and troubleshooting to tight tolerances (<.0005). Must be able to operate a forklift and work with a team or independently.

Qualifications

• Mechanical/technical knowledge is preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing facility is a plus.
• Intermediate knowledge of US measurement.
• Able to troubleshoot machinery when out of specification.
• Experience with precision measuring tools (calipers, gauges, micrometers).
• Familiar with torque wrenches and general tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Forklift operation ability is required.
• Team player with safety awareness.

NIGHT SHIFT 7PM-7AM

NIGHT CREWS TO BE DETERMINED

Essential Functions/Key Deliverables

• Perform preventative maintenance on all Front End machinery

• Greasing the specified grease points

• Alignment of the machines

• Replace worn/damage tooling

• Maintain records of tooling usage per machine

• Rebuild/Repair equipment

• Identify leaks in the system

• Ability to read blueprints/drawings (DWGs)

• Work within tolerances <.0005

• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment

• Help train other employees on how to troubleshoot.

• Perform any other duty reasonable corresponding with the role.

Knowledge/Skills/Experience

• Vocational education a plus(Mechanical, Technical or similar).

• Experience in a Manufacturing facility is a plus.
