FedEx Freight, Inc. is seeking a dock handler to transport freight across the dock area to and from trailers. You will operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, verify documentation, and secure freight inside trailers.

The role requires helping customers with freight needs and completing reports. Starting pay is $22.77 per hour with a shift from 2300-0400. The posted pay range is $22.77–$26.64 per hour, with benefits including health/dental/vision insurance and retirement options.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Prior warehousing or freight handling experience preferred.
• Ability to count and perform basic math, with or without a calculator.
• Ability to lift/carry hand freight and heavy dock plates and open trailer doors with lift force.

Responsibilities

• Transport freight across dock area to/from trailers.
• Operate motorized and manual equipment (forklift, pallet jack, hand truck).
• Verify freight documentation for type, weight, and hazmat details.
• Secure freight inside trailers using pallets and straps.
• Recoup/repair damaged freight when necessary.
• Complete required documentation and reports.
• Assist customers with freight needs and documentation.
