Job summary

Sysco Central Alabama, Inc. is hiring for an on-site warehouse operations role. You will operate an electric forklift, unload and load pallets, and maintain organization in cooler, freezer, and dry spaces.

The position includes pallet handling, basic computer tasks, and potential shifts as needed for efficiency. The role requires high school/GED or 6 months warehouse experience, with emphasis on safety and accuracy in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Qualifications

• Basic reading ability and recognition of simple words and numbers.
• Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
• Basic arithmetic including rate, ratio and percent.

Responsibilities

• Operates electric forklift in cooler, freezer, and dry spaces.
• Unloads/loads pallets using pallet jacks and forklifts.
• Stores/removes pallets from rack locations and places products in overflow.
• Keeps work area clean and organized including sweeping and trash removal.
• Assists as order selector as needed.
