Job summary

Sysco Central Alabama, Inc. is seeking an Operations associate to stock received merchandise, operate warehouse equipment, and support overall warehouse activities. This role requires standing, lifting up to 50-80 pounds, and the ability to work nights or varied shifts.

Responsibilities include unloading and loading pallets, storing items, keeping the aisles clear, and assisting as an order selector when needed. High school diploma or equivalent and warehouse experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 6 months related warehouse experience or training.
• Ability to read simple words and numbers, and to understand simple instructions.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic including fractions and decimals.
• Proficiency in basic computer use.
• Ability to operate with attention to safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Operates electric forklift to move pallets in cooler, freezer, and dry spaces.
• Unloads/loads pallets using pallet jacks and forklifts.
• Stores/removes pallets from rack locations.
• Puts product in overflow locations and assists with packing locations.
• Keeps work area clean and organized; handles trash and debris as required.
• Supports order selector duties as needed.
