Job summary

Georgia-Pacific Talladega Lumber is seeking a Forklift Operator for our Shipping Department. Starting pay is $20.00/hour or more, based on experience, with potential increases based on skills and performance. 10-hour shifts rotate, with overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed. Day shift only.

You will load trucks/rail cars, verify orders, and ensure products are loaded correctly and labeled accurately. Safety, teamwork, and neat warehouse conditions are essential to support inventory control.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months forklift experience in manufacturing, distribution, or industrial production.
• Willing to work on any shift including overtime, holidays, and weekends.
• Experience using a computer for record keeping and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Load incoming trucks and rail cars with the proper product and weight for shipment.
• Verify orders for accuracy and proper loading.
• Ensure packed product meets packaging standards and verify labels.
