Job summary

Voltava is seeking a Mobile Equipment Operator for the Lansing, Michigan area to operate sit-down forklifts and move materials across warehouse and production spaces. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and teamwork, with overtime and weekend work as needed to support production flow.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading trucks, stacking inventory up to 16 feet high, and maintaining an organized work area while communicating equipment or process issues to the team.

Qualifications

• Mandatory sit-down forklift experience.
• Experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, assembly, or material-handling environment.
• Commitment to safe work practices and a strong safety mindset.
• Ability to stand for 8 or more hours per day.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Strong communication skills, teamwork, initiative, and reliability.
• Ability to be on time, lead by example, and maintain constructive working relationships.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate stand-up and sit-down forklifts to move, stage, rack, and deliver materials throughout the warehouse and production areas.
• Unload incoming trucks, put inventory away, and rack and stack product up to 16 feet high.
• Load trucks with empty dunnage and maintain an organized, productive work area.
• Identify and communicate equipment, material, or operational issues to the appropriate team member.
