Job summary

Ryder is hiring Warehouse Forklift Operators and Material Handlers in Lansing, Michigan for a fast-paced distribution environment. You will operate sit-down forklifts and stand-up Tugger to support safe, accurate order fulfillment with weekly pay and a strong benefits package.

Ryder offers paid training, career growth, medical/dental/vision, 401(k) with company match, PTO, and employee discounts. Third shift Sunday–Thursday 10:30pm–7:00am with overtime and occasional Fridays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Ability to be a team player and able to work within a diverse work environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Work within performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
• Accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging, and loading/unloading of trucks.
• Handle day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hours.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
