Job summary

Sysco Tampa Bay, a division of Sysco Corporation, is seeking an Operations associate to stock received merchandise, operate warehouse equipment, and perform related duties. The role focuses on accurate placement of goods and maintaining organization in cooler, freezer, and dry spaces.

You will unload and load pallets, move items with pallet jacks and forklifts, keep aisles clean, and support order selector tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to read basic words and numbers.
• Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
• Ability to follow written or diagram instructions.
• Computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Operates electric forklift, moving levers and pedals to drive and control movement in cooler, freezer, and dry spaces.
• Unloads/loads pallets of products using pallet jacks and forklifts.
• Stores and removes pallets from rack locations.
• Puts product in overflow locations.
• Hand stacks product onto/off of pallets and into packing locations as required.
• Maintains a clean work environment by sweeping, scrubbing, and removing trash as required.
• Transfers leftover items to the Home slot at the end of the shift.
• Cleans up aisles and pick up leftover pallets at shift end.
• Performs duties of order selector as needed.
