Job summary

XPO is hiring a Forklift Operator to safely sort, load, and unload freight on a non climate-controlled dock. You’ll operate pallet jacks and forklifts and support shift rotations to meet varying freight volumes across days, evenings, and nights.

The role requires basic math, attention to detail, and flexibility to work weekends. This is a Motor Carrier Act Exempt position with competitive pay and safety-focused culture.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Basic math calculations, with and without a calculator.
• Available to work a variety of shifts due to varying freight volumes, including days, evenings, nights and weekends.
• Dock or warehouse experience in transportation preferred.
• Forklift experience in freight or LTL environments preferred.
• Experience loading and unloading trailers preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and desire to succeed.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently sort, handle, load and unload palletized and non-palletized freight
• Use appropriate motorized and manual equipment, including pallet jack and forklift
• Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies
• Work in a safe, efficient manner, adhering to company safety policies
• Use mobile handheld devices to scan and track shipments
• Work on a dock that is not climate-controlled for extended periods
