Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a forklift operator to safely move merchandise, load/unload trucks, and stock items across the club. The role includes greeting Members and delivering friendly service while upholding all safety and policy standards.

Responsibilities include pallet prep, freight receipt, and assisting with opening/closing duties as needed. This position emphasizes safety, efficiency, and customer focus within a bustling retail environment.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Prior forklift operating experience preferred, but not required.
• Must successfully complete required training and certification processes.

Responsibilities

• Operates a forklift in a safe and efficient manner.
• Loads and unloads merchandise and materials to and from delivery trucks.
• Receives all merchandise and materials delivered to the club.
• Prepares pallets and wraps/labels as needed for safe handling.
• Transports merchandise and pallets throughout the club using a pallet jack when needed.
• Stocks and rotates general and food merchandise; handles damaged items per policies.
• Maintains a neat, clean, and organized club environment.
• Greets Members and provides prompt, courteous service; assists locating merchandise.
• Follows club policies and performs other duties as assigned.
