Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club, Inc. in New Jersey is seeking a forklift operator to stock, load, unload, and transport merchandise across the club. You will inspect forklifts, prepare pallets, assist with deliveries, stock shelves, and maintain a clean, safe working environment while delivering a positive Member experience.

You will stand for long periods, perform physical tasks, and participate in safety procedures. Training and certification are provided as part of the role.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Prior forklift operating experience preferred, but not required.
• Must successfully complete required training and certification processes.

Responsibilities

• Operates a forklift in a safe and efficient manner.
• Loads and unloads merchandise and materials to and from delivery trucks.
• Inspects and prepares delivery trucks for unloading.
• Accurately receives all merchandise and materials delivered to the club.
• Lifts, reserves and drops pallets of merchandise to and from the overhead steel and the sales floor.
• Transports merchandise, material and pallets safely throughout the club.
• Stocks, rotates, and stores general merchandise and food merchandise.
• Maintains club cleanliness and organization; handles damaged items per policy.
• Participates in daily club openings and closings; assists Members in locating merchandise.
