Avera Mother Joseph Manor Retirement Community is seeking a part-time Food Service Aide for night shift. The role supports patient and guest meals, assists with meal service, preparation, and cleanup in a compassionate, team-oriented environment.

Hours are 8 per week with specific shifts; pay range is $17.50 to $21.50 per hour depending on experience. High school or GED required and 0-6 months food service experience preferred; emphasis on safety and sanitation.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work the hours specified.

• Visual acuity adequate to perform duties.
• Hearing and distinguishing speech as part of daily work.
• Must meet safety and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and organize assigned food items efficiently and accurately.
• Serve food items according to diet, specifications and menu requirements.
• Cleans and sanitizes equipment, utensils, dishes, pots/pans, floor mats, floors, and work areas following proper procedure.
• Stocks storerooms, refrigerators and work areas with supplies using first in, first out principle and appropriate dating.
• Operates dish machine and kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• May work the register, close out register and counts money. Properly places money and money drawer in designated location.
