Job summary

Avera Health's Avera Oahe Manor is seeking a PRN Food Service Assistant to assist with light food preparation, plating, stocking storerooms, catering events, and kitchen cleaning. Hours include Day/Evening/Weekend/Holiday shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Resident Dining Feeding Assistant program completion preferred.
• Six months related experience in food service or related role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food items for assigned area.
• Meet standards for food preparation, quality, sanitation, and efficiency.
• Make recommendations for all menus.
• Complete daily cleaning per approved standards.
• Stock refrigerator and storerooms with labeled items and dating.
• Operate dish machine, steam tables, etc., as needed.
• Serve meals/beverages with attention to temperature.
