Job summary

Pilgrim's Athens, GA is seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor for the night shift to lead the FSQA team and oversee USDA-regulated quality programs. The role includes implementing HACCP/SSOP, training staff, and ensuring compliance with customer specifications.

The ideal candidate has prior supervision experience, knowledge of USDA/OSHA rules, and strong communication skills. This position requires adapting to a fast-paced production environment and coordinating with engineering and operations

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required; Associates Degree preferred or 3 years related experience and/or training.
• Supervisory experience required.
• Understanding of USDA and OSHA regulations.
• Proficient computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). SAP experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal communication and oral presentation skills.
• Must demonstrate good leadership and writing skills.
• Must have math and analytical skills.
• Must adapt to a fast-changing work environment and work well with others.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates FSQA team activities for implementation of quality and food safety programs (HACCP and SSOP).
• Monitors safety and reports unsafe acts; coordinates with site safety for LOTO training.
• Recommends new quality policies to ensure high-quality products and processes.
• Communicates programs and procedures through training.
• Maintains good relations with FSQA, Operations and USDA personnel, ensuring compliance.
• Interfaces with facility team for root-cause analyses during incidents.
• Ensures customer quality programs are executed and reports issues to site management.
• Manages hourly/SNE QA Technicians and Kronos Timekeeping system.
