Shearer’s Foods is seeking a Food Quality Assurance Technician for the midnight shift to ensure analytical, microbiological, and sensory attributes meet defined quality standards. The role includes lab testing, equipment calibration, and cross‑functional collaboration with production to uphold SQF and GMP compliance.

The position offers a nightly schedule 11pm–7am with a $21.00 base rate plus a $3.00 shift differential, and every other weekend off, supporting a safety‑forward, team‑driven

Qualifications

• Experience in a food and beverage manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Good attendance and reliability are essential for this skilled position.
• Commitment to safety and healthy workplace practices.
• Ability to read, understand and communicate with team members.
• Able to perform simple math, conversions, and run rate calculations.
• Lead by example and adhere to policies and procedures.
• Common sense reasoning and following written or oral instructions.
• Basic computer skills to operate production systems and record results.
• Willingness to work pre-shift meetings and overtime when needed.
• Physical ability to stand, lift up to 50+ pounds, and work up to 12 hours.

Responsibilities

• The QA Technician performs testing to meet quality standards and ensures equipment is calibrated.
• Monitors site operations for compliance with SQF, GMPs, labeling, and food safety standards.
• Collaborates with production to ensure proper quality checks and communicates results.
• Trains staff, prepares for audits, and documents results in records systems.
