Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a Packing Worker in Ferndale, WA to support the production line and packaging operations. You will ensure safety and food quality standards, handle materials, and assist with sanitation and data recording.

Candidates should be detail-oriented and reliable, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in temperature-controlled environments. The role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to HACCP/USDA/FDA guidelines, and continuous improvement within a structured production

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food processing or manufacturing (preferred but not required).
• Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices (training provided).
• Attention to detail, reliability, and a commitment to quality.
• Ability to lift items up to 50 lbs regularly and work in cold or hot environments while performing repetitive tasks accurately.

Responsibilities

• Handle raw materials and perform tasks such as defrosting, hooking, hanging, racking, cutting, stuffing, weighing, scaling, labeling, boxing, and palletizing.
• Load and unload materials onto racks, carts, and conveyors.
• Move products between different temperature areas using carts or racks.
• Prepare products for vacuum processing and packaging.
• Inspect product for quality and consistency, ensuring company standards are met.
• Report any defects or issues with materials, products, or equipment to the supervisor.
• Follow all food safety guidelines, including HACCP, USDA, and FDA regulations.
• Assist with sanitation processes as needed.
• Record production data, such as product counts and weights if applicable.
• Communicate effectively with line leads, supervisors, and other team members about production or challenges.
