Job summary

Independence Health System in Greensburg, PA is seeking a Floor Care Associate to perform daily routine and project floor care, operating floor care equipment, and maintaining a clean, sanitary hospital environment for patients and staff. Schedule is Monday-Friday 11:00pm-7:00am with rotating weekends.

The role requires at least 1 year of floor care experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to work independently and accurately.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• One year of floor care or project work experience.
• Ability to lead, organize, think critically, and exercise sound judgment.
• Ability to communicate complex topics to a diverse audience.
• Experience in healthcare setting (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Routine floor care: mopping, stripping, refinishing, scrubbing, burnishing, carpet shampooing and baseboard cleaning.
• Maintain equipment; report problems to supervisor.
• Set up/tear down for hospital events and off-site locations.
• Deliver/pickup rental beds and mattresses within the hospital.
• Hang room curtains and comply with hospital/department policies.
• Demonstrate cognitive ability and thoroughness in essential tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
