Qualifications

• Knowledge of floor cleaning techniques, tools, and products.
• Good physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to safely operate floor care machinery and equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and reliability in a healthcare setting.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and cleaning procedures.
• Good communication skills with staff, patients, and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, buff, and strip floors in patient rooms, hallways, dining areas, restrooms, and other designated spaces.
• Perform detailed cleaning and maintenance of floors in all areas, ensuring high sanitation standards.
• Operate floor care equipment such as auto-scrubbers, buffers, waxers, and vacuums.
• Strip, wax, and polish floors in high-traffic areas to maintain cleanliness and professional appearance.
• Follow procedures for cleaning and disinfecting hard floors, including different floor types.
• Adhere to safety protocols for chemicals and equipment; place wet floor signs.
• Inspect floors regularly and report damage to Environmental Services Supervisor.
• Maintain inventory of floor cleaning supplies and equipment.
