Job summary

1810 Wentworth-Douglass Hospital is seeking a dedicated environmental services associate to maintain a clean, safe hospital environment. You will perform floor care, surface cleaning, and waste management in patient areas and public spaces.

The role requires 2–3 years of hospital cleaning experience, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Onsite schedule is Monday–Friday, 5am to 1:30pm with a regular 40-hour week.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• 2–3 years experience with hospital cleaning equipment and chemicals.
• Strong organization skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently but also be a team player.
• Good communication and comprehension skills.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, wax, strip, and polish floors.
• Vacuum carpets and clean surfaces.
• Restroom cleaning and restocking supplies.
• Identify and report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Set up tables, chairs, and equipment for meetings and events.
• Follow hospital safety, infection control, and environmental service protocols.
