Job summary

PepsiCo is seeking a Fleet Mechanic to maintain and repair our wide range of delivery vehicles in Vancouver, WA. The night shift runs Sunday through Wednesday from 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a pay rate of $31.57 per hour.

CDL is required for return-to-center duties, and candidates should be comfortable lifting heavy loads and working in tight spaces. You will diagnose mechanical issues, perform preventative maintenance, assist senior mechanics, manage parts inventories, and coordinate with vendors

Qualifications

• You are at least 21 years of age or older
• You may be required to work on weekends, holidays as well as off shift
• You have a valid Driver's License and Personal Vehicle
• Your driver's license has not been suspended or revoked in connection with a moving violation within the past three (3) years
• You can lift 50 pounds or more with or without a reasonable accommodation
• You are able to climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods with or without a reasonable accommodation
• You have the ability to work in tight spaces for extended periods with or without a reasonable accommodation
• You will be required to work on/under trucks for an entire shift (8 to 12 hours) with or without a reasonable accommodation

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair fleet vehicles, including diagnosing mechanical issues and completing preventative maintenance
• Work alongside experienced mechanics on more complex repairs and troubleshooting
• Return vehicles to the traffic center when needed (CDL required)
• Manage parts inventory and accurately charge parts and labor to work orders using provided systems
• Build relationships with vendors when obtaining estimates for parts or outside labor
