Job summary

Transdev in Orlando, FL seeks an experienced Night Shift A-Level Fleet Automotive Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain engines across diverse vehicles. This full-time position runs 11pm–7:30am and supports our night operations.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of mechanic experience, a CDL, and ASE certifications; DOT drug testing is required. We offer a competitive hourly wage, a $2 shift differential, and strong benefits including retirement and health coverage.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of experience as a mechanic.
CDL driver's license required.
ASE certifications required; ASE certification program provided.
Subject to a DOT physical exam and DOT drug testing per 49 CFR Part 40.

Responsibilities

Conduct diagnostic tests to identify engine issues and determine necessary repairs.
Perform routine maintenance to prevent breakdowns and optimize performance.
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient repairs.
Complete PMs, safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections.
Lead diagnostic tests to identify complex issues and determine comprehensive repair strategies for engines.
Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks on engines, including overhauling and rebuilding components to specifications.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians.
