Job summary

Transdev North America in Orlando, FL seeks an experienced Night Shift A - Level Fleet Automotive Mechanic for 11pm to 7:30am. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain engines across vehicles and equipment, lead complex diagnostics, and mentor junior technicians.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Mechanic.

Responsibilities

• Conduct diagnostic tests to identify issues and determine repairs on engines.
• Perform routine maintenance to prevent breakdowns and optimize performance.
• Collaborate with teammates to ensure efficient, accurate repairs.
• Complete preventive maintenance, safety inspections, and annual inspections.
• Lead tests to identify complex engine issues and plan comprehensive repairs.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and overhaul/ rebuild components to spec.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians.

Transdev in Orlando, FL is seeking an experienced Night Shift A - Level Fleet Automotive Mechanic to bolster our team. This position is for our Night shift hours of 11pm to 7:30am. This role demands expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining automotive engines across various vehicles and equipment. As an A-Level Fleet Automotive Mechanic, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity for our assets.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks on engines, including overhauling and rebuilding components to required specifications.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians, assisting them in developing their skills and knowledge.

• Subject to a DOT physical exam and DOT drug testing. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including marijuana, for any reason.

Physical Requirements

• The essential functions of this position require the ability to:
• Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions-100% of the job is performed outside, work alone and in remote locations.
• Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces
• Push and pull objects, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level
• Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.
