Transdev in Orlando, FL is seeking an experienced Night Shift A-Level Fleet Automotive Mechanic for the 11pm–7:30am shift. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain engines across diverse vehicles, ensuring safety, efficiency, and fleet longevity.

Responsibilities include advanced diagnostics, PMs, safety inspections, and mentoring junior technicians. Requirements include a minimum of 2 years as a mechanic, a CDL, ASE certifications, and a DOT exam/drug test.

Qualifications

• CDL Driver's License required.

• DOT physical exam and DOT drug testing required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair engines across vehicles and equipment.

Night Shift Fleet Automotive Technician

Transdev in Orlando, FL is seeking an experienced Night Shift A - Level Fleet Automotive Mechanic to bolster our team. This position is for our Night shift hours of 11pm to 7:30am. This role demands expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining automotive engines across various vehicles and equipment. As an A-Level Fleet Automotive Mechanic, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity for our assets.

• $2.00 shift differential offered.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct diagnostic tests to identify issues and determine necessary repairs on engines.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize performance.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and accurate repairs
• Complete preventative maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections.
• Lead diagnostic tests to accurately identify complex issues and determine comprehensive repair strategies for engines.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks on engines, including overhauling and rebuilding components to required specifications.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians, assisting them in developing their skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Mechanic.
• CDL Driver's License required.
• ASE certifications required; ASE certification program provided.

• Subject to a DOT physical exam and DOT drug testing. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including marijuana, for any reason.

Physical Requirements:

• The essential functions of this position require the ability to:
• Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions-100% of the job is performed outside, work alone and in remote locations.
• Sit for extended periods (up to 6-8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces
• Push and pull objects, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level
• Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.
