Job summary

Transdev in Detroit, MI is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines across our fleet. You will support A-Level mechanics, perform routine maintenance, and lead diagnostics to ensure safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience as a Mechanic.

Responsibilities

• Perform moderate complexity repairs and replacements on diesel engine components.
• Assist A-Level Mechanics in advanced diagnostic and repair tasks.
• Execute routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize engine performance.
• Lead diagnostic tests to identify complex issues and determine repair strategies.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians.

Maintenance Technician

Transdev in Detroit, MI is seeking an experienced Mechanic to bolster our team. This role demands expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines across various vehicles and equipment. As a Mechanic, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity for our vehicles.

• Competitive compensation package of minimum $30.00 – Maximum $33.00

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct diagnostic tests using advanced tools and software to troubleshoot diesel engine issues.
• Perform moderate complexity repairs and replacements on diesel engine components, ensuring optimal functionality.
• Assist A-Level Mechanics in advanced diagnostic and repair tasks, contributing to efficient workflow.
• Execute routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize diesel engine performance.
• Lead diagnostic tests to accurately identify complex issues and determine comprehensive repair strategies for diesel engines.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks on diesel engines, including overhauling and rebuilding components to required specifications.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians, assisting them in developing their skills and knowledge
• Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

• 2 years of experience as a Mechanic.
• ASE certifications required; ASE certification program provided
• Mechanic’s Tool Set
• Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
• The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.
• Work environment will be a combination of both indoors and outdoors.
