Job summary

Abbott Nutrition, Tipp City, OH, is hiring a Filling Operator for the night shift (6:30pm–7:00am EST) on the 2B Crew in the Aseptic Filling process. You will operate fillers and cappers, monitor line performance, and ensure food safety and quality.

Responsibilities include line hookups, batch changes, accurate reporting, alarm handling, and sterilizer operation under GMP. Prior manufacturing/packaging experience and forklift certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Proven experience in operating filling equipment.
• Basic troubleshooting skills.
• Willingness to learn and retain information provided through training.

Responsibilities

• Operates the filler and cappers in a safe manner to maintain personnel safety and food safety and quality.
• Monitors pressure gauges, filler speeds and line conveyors.
• Completes product hookups between filling line and processing.
• Completes product blow downs/flushes as necessary to achieve timely batch changes with minimal fluid loss.
• Keeps accurate documentation of all production and quality reports.
• Interprets and responds to alarm conditions on filling and sterilizing equipment.
• Operates the sterilizer system within required parameters and monitors the specifications, making adjustments as needed.
• Completes sterilizer rounds, sediment and chlorine checks as required by work order.
• Adheres to product isolation procedures, monitoring pH levels and taking water samples.
• Reports any abnormal equipment functions and product problems to the Supervisor.
• Maintains housekeeping, sanitation and a safe work area by utilizing 5S cleaning tools.
