Job summary

Abbott in Columbus, OH is seeking a production line operator for a 12-hour night shift (6:00pm–6:30am) to operate high-speed equipment and maintain quality packaging for nutrition products. You will start/shut down lines, clear jams, and report issues to supervisors, while keeping records and adhering to FDA, GMP, and safety guidelines.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and prior manufacturing experience; RF scanners are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to communicate pertinent line information to both production and support group personnel.
• High level of attention to detail is required.
• Must maintain accurate and legible records such as Production Counts, Material Usage/Losses and Batch Work orders.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate the high-speed production equipment that makes our nutrition products.
• Start up and shutdown all equipment; clear jams and downtime issues.
• Report any abnormal equipment function or product problems to the Supervisor.
• Maintain inventory of packaging materials and complete work order documentation.
• Perform quality checks and troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Ensure safe operations of all equipment and report incidents or hazards.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area using 5S principles.
• Adhere to product isolation procedures and proper identification of status.
• Ensure correct identification, codes and expiration dates of products and materials.
• Comply with FDA, GMP, OSHA and company regulations.
