Job summary

HKA Enterprises seeks an experienced Night Shift Construction Inspector to support building and civil infrastructure projects. This on-site role performs field inspections during nighttime operations to ensure compliance with plans, specs, safety, and quality.

You’ll document findings, coordinate with contractors and labs, review test reports, maintain daily logs, and report schedule impacts and safety issues. 10+ years of inspection experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 10+ years in construction inspection on buildings or civil/infrastructure projects preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently during night shifts and document field observations.
• Strong understanding of construction plans, specs, and contract documents.
• Experience documenting inspection findings and preparing reports.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety requirements and industry best practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform field inspections during night shift construction operations.
• Verify compliance with plans, specifications, permits, and codes.
• Monitor contractor workmanship, materials, and installation practices.
• Inspect earthwork, paving, utilities, structures, and traffic maintenance components.
• Document deficiencies, non-conforming work, and corrective actions.
• Coordinate and witness field testing by labs and specialty consultants.
• Review material certifications, test reports, and inspection records.
• Maintain daily inspection reports and quality documentation.
• Monitor OSHA compliance and project safety procedures.
• Document quantities, manpower, equipment, weather, and progress.
