Job summary

Procon is seeking an experienced Night Construction Inspector to support a cruise terminal renovation project in Port Canaveral, Florida. This onsite role will provide quality assurance and construction inspection oversight during night-shift activities, helping ensure work is completed safely and in accordance with contract documents, approved plans, specifications, and applicable codes and regulations.

Responsibilities include inspecting architectural, structural, MEP, and life safety work;

Qualifications

• 5+ years in construction, inspection, QA/QC, or CM.
• Experience as Construction Inspector or QA/QC role.
• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
• Strong knowledge of construction practices and quality standards.
• Able to interpret drawings, specs, and contract documents in the field.
• Experience inspecting architectural, structural, MEP, and life safety work.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and jobsite safety practices.
• Strong written field reporting and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and communicate professionally on night shifts.
• Port/maritime or complex infrastructure project experience is a plus.
• Willing to work night shift for the project duration.

Responsibilities

• Provide QA and inspection oversight for construction activities against drawings and specs.
• Lead and coordinate onsite inspection during the night shift.
• Monitor and document progress, ensuring compliance with plans and quality standards.
• Inspect architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems.
• Review drawings, specifications, submittals, and project documentation.
• Identify deficiencies and coordinate timely resolutions with the team.
• Prepare daily field reports, non-conformance notices, and inspection records.
• Evaluate contractor pay applications based on observed progress.
• Ensure health, safety, and environmental compliance on site.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders.
• Support closeout activities including punch lists and final inspections.
• Verify completed work meets contract requirements before turnover.
• Maintain organized construction site records.
• Be available for occasional daytime or weekend inspections.
