Job summary
Cable Services Company, Inc. is seeking a Fiber Splicer to install, troubleshoot, and maintain fiber optic systems across multiple sites. The role requires frequent travel and overnight work during off-peak hours, with on-call weekends for emergency restoration.
You will read maps, splice in various environments, and manage documentation while adhering to safety policies. Required are 2+ years of fiber splicing experience and a high school diploma or GED; preferred are deeper splicing tool
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of fiber optic splicing experience.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience using fusion splicers, OTDR, optical power meters and related tools.
- Ability to travel frequently and be on-call for emergencies.
Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain fiber optic systems.
- Read design maps and fiber schematics.
- Splice and terminate fiber in racks at central offices or hub sites.
- Operate aerial lift and related equipment.
- Complete required company documentation on time.
- Work safely and follow company safety policies.
