NextLink is seeking an OSP Fiber - Network Maintenance Technician in Hudson Oaks, TX. You will maintain the fiber backbone, perform splicing, operate a bucket truck, and manage outages across multiple sites. The role requires readiness for night shifts and extensive field travel.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and experience with fiber tools and live networks. DOT regulations knowledge is a plus. 401(k) and health benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with fiber tools and live optical/LOS networks.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and diagrams.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% and work night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair fiber backbone from ROW and aerial builds.
• Splice fiber optic cable and operate a bucket truck.
• Coordinate outages with management and crews during maintenance events.
• Prepare daily production reports and as-built maps.
