Job summary

NextLink in Hudson Oaks, Texas, is seeking a Field Operations: Installation – Fiber technician to install conduit paths under driveways, bore under surfaces, and place fiber drops. You will handle vaults, perform landscaping restoration, and maintain customer communication.

The role demands physical capability, experience with basic hand tools, and a valid driver’s license. You will work outdoors in a team, with mandatory PPE and a flexible schedule, typically full-time.

Qualifications

• Must be able to follow directions and complete tasks as assigned by leadership.
• Must be able to lift/pull heavy equipment.
• Good organization and effective communication, verbally and in writing.
• Comfortable working outdoors in a team environment.
• Must pass a drug screening and a criminal background check.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Install conduit path under driveways and sidewalks for fiber drops.
• Landscaping restoration and cleanup after installations.
• Customer-facing duties and documenting work with photos.
• Record any damage to customer property during installation.
