Analog Devices, Beaverton, OR, is seeking a hands-on FIB technician to perform FIB cross-sections and SEM imaging, supporting process and tool qualifications and urgent production issues. You will manage requests, prioritize fab urgency, and collaborate across FA teams to deliver clear analytical findings.

The role requires adapting to changing priorities, strong communication with engineers, and potential growth into advanced failure analysis techniques over time.

Qualifications

• Hands-on FIB cross-sections and SEM imaging to evaluate process integrity.
• Support tool and process qualification and high-priority production issues.
• Manage online requests and clarify ambiguous requests with requestors.
• Prioritize requests based on fab urgency and shift coverage (6PM–6AM).
• Collaborate with fab, process, product and failure analysis teams to identify root cause and communicate findings.
• Maintain equipment, safety, and lab protocols while driving throughput and data quality.

Responsibilities

• Perform FIB cross-sections and SEM imaging to evaluate process integrity and defect mechanisms.
• Support production fab through rapid physical analysis for tool/process qualification and high-priority issues.
• Interpret analysis needs from the online request system and clarify as needed with requestors.
• Prioritize incoming requests based on fab urgency and business impact; night shift coverage 6PM–6AM.
• Partner with fab, process, product, and failure analysis teams to identify root causes and communicate findings to engineers.
• Maintain equipment and lab safety/compliance while driving improvements in throughput and data quality.
