Job summary

Lam Research in Fremont, CA, seeks a STEM sample preparation specialist for the SEM Lab. You will prepare STEM samples using FEI/ThermoFisher Helios dual beam FIB-SEM tools and run ifast and AutoTEM software in an autonomy‑focused workflow.

Primary responsibilities include imaging STEM with ThermoFisher Helios systems; additional duties may involve FIB-SEM analysis, EDS, and CD-SEM. Shifts are front end nights: 5pm–5am (Sun-Tue, plus every other Wed).

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience with a BS degree in a physical science, or an AS degree or equivalent professional training.
• Shift work front end nights: 5pm–5am; Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, and alternating Wednesdays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare STEM samples using FEI/ThermoFisher Helios dual beam FIB-SEM tools with ifast and AutoTEM software in an autonomy-focused workflow.
• Primary responsibility for imaging STEM using Thermofisher Helios systems; may include FIB-SEM analysis, EDS, and Critical Dimension SEM.
• Test, inspect, and troubleshoot systems and components using schematics, diagrams, and defined test plans.
• Operate test equipment and measurement tools to evaluate materials and circuitry.
• Collaborate with development engineers in creating, testing, and troubleshooting prototypes and models.
• Maintain documentation of procedures and results for quality and traceability.
