Job summary

Britt Medical in Dothan, AL seeks an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner to join an established emergency medicine team providing care for urgent and emergent illnesses and injuries.

The full-time night shift (8:00 PM–8:00 AM) offers opportunities to assess and manage acute presentations across the lifespan, perform procedures, order diagnostics, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a high-acuity ED setting.

Qualifications

• FNP certification required.
• Alabama NP licensure or eligibility.
• BCLS and ACLS certifications.
• 1+ years NP experience in high-acuity emergency department preferred.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced care for urgent and emergent illnesses and injuries.
• Assess, diagnose, and treat patients across the lifespan.
• Order and interpret labs, EKGs, imaging, and other diagnostic studies.
• Perform procedures including suturing, I&D, splinting, and conscious sedation as credentialed.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and specialists to determine disposition and follow-up.
