Job summary

Southeast Health in Alabama is seeking an Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner to deliver rapid assessment, stabilization, and management for urgent and emergent ED cases. You will work with sponsor physicians and a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care across trauma and medical emergencies.

The role requires AL ARNP licensure or eligibility, FNP certification, BCLS and ACLS, and at least 1 year of ED NP experience. Night shift coverage is included.

Qualifications

• Active Alabama ARNP license or eligibility.
• Family Nurse Practitioner certification (FNP).
• BCLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum 1 year of emergency department NP experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat ED patients with varying acuity under protocols.
• Order and interpret tests; formulate treatment plans.
• Stabilize patients and coordinate with physicians and teams.
• Perform procedures such as suturing, I&D, splinting when needed.
• Educate patients and arrange follow-up care.
