Job summary

Britt Medical in Dothan, AL seeks an experienced Family Medicine Physician Assistant for a full-time night shift (8:00 PM–8:00 AM) to provide advanced care for urgent and emergent illnesses and injuries, caring for patients from pediatrics to geriatrics in a fast-paced ED setting.

The ideal candidate will hold an Alabama PA license (or eligibility) and NCCPA certification, with 1+ year of PA experience in a high-acuity emergency department preferred, and be proficient in ED procedures, airway

Qualifications

• Alabama PA license or eligibility to obtain one.
• Board-certified Physician Assistant through NCCPA.

Responsibilities

• Rapidly assess and manage urgent and emergent conditions.
• Order and interpret labs, EKGs, imaging, and other diagnostics.
• Perform procedures including suturing, I&D, splinting, and conscious sedation as credentialed.
• Provide basic airway support within scope.
• Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary team.
• Determine disposition (admission, transfer, discharge) and coordinate follow-up.
