Job summary

Amcor in Manchester, IA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure reliable operation of production machinery and the plant, in alignment with safety and company policies.

You will develop, schedule and execute preventive maintenance, oversee daily upkeep, and report to the Production Manager while coordinating with maintenance staff. The role requires strong mechanical knowledge, safety discipline, and the ability to train others.

Responsibilities

• Develops, schedules and controls a preventative maintenance program to maintain production machinery and equipment.
• Is responsible for the daily maintenance operations of the facility.
• Reports directly to the Production Manager on issues, status and functions within the department, and assists in directing maintenance staff per direction of the Maintenance Manager.
• Will need to be “on call” to assist with any maintenance operational needs; plans continual work schedule to maintain safe conditions.
• Assists in coordinating activities of workers engaged in maintenance, electrical and mechanical operations and helps develop training for troubleshooting.
