Job summary

Abbott Park, IL-based role performing maintenance on plant utility systems to support manufacturing and facility operations. You will inspect, troubleshoot, and repair boilers, HVAC, pumps, piping, and water systems during a 12-hour night shift (6pm–6:30am).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 3+ years of experience in utilities, industrial maintenance, facilities operations, or related field.
• Working knowledge of boilers, chillers, HVAC systems, pumps, piping, electrical systems, or automation controls.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, P&IDs, schematics, and equipment drawings.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and CMMS platforms.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and corrective repairs on plant utility equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve utility equipment issues to maintain safe, reliable operation.
• Execute maintenance on mechanical, pneumatic, hydronic, and rotating equipment systems.
• Ensure proper operation of critical utility systems like steam, chilled water, potable water, and wastewater.
• Respond to system alarms, malfunctions, and abnormal operating conditions.
• Diagnose equipment failures and implement timely corrective actions.
