Job summary

Indiana University Health is seeking a facilities maintenance technician to perform preventive and responsive maintenance on hospital systems at Arnett Hospital. The role covers electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and related building systems to ensure safe, reliable operation in a healthcare environment.

Responsibilities include reacting to service requests, inspecting equipment, and coordinating with other departments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Indiana driver’s license with proof of insurance may be required.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, fire system devices and air systems.

Responsibilities

• Performs scheduled and non-scheduled preventive maintenance on facility systems and equipment.
• Responds to maintenance service calls; troubleshoots and repairs electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and air handling systems.
• Repairs and maintains interior spaces including walls, drywall, painting and touch-ups.
• Inspects and maintains specialized machinery and equipment per codes and safety standards.
• Coordinates maintenance activities with other departments and reports deficiencies.
