Job summary

Indiana University Health is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance, respond to calls, and troubleshoot utility systems at IU Health University Hospital in Indianapolis. The role requires reading blueprints and diagrams, handling electrical/plumbing systems, and using power and hand tools.

Qualified candidates have a High School Diploma or GED, at least 2 years of relevant experience, and may need a valid Indiana driver\'s license.

Qualifications

Knowledge of electrical secondary systems, plumbing systems, fire system devices and air systems.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics and diagrams.
General knowledge in the use of power and hand tools.
Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

Perform scheduled and non-scheduled preventive maintenance.
Respond to dispatched general maintenance calls.
Troubleshoot/repair secondary utility systems of buildings; maintain, repair and inspect specialized machinery and equipment.
Recommend improvements and corrections to facilities equipment and systems.
Coordinate with other services and departments and perform routine building/grounds inspections.
