Job summary

Copeland is seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to install, diagnose, repair, and maintain building machinery, equipment, and utilities systems. The role covers electrical, plumbing, HVAC, boiler, and air compressor networks, with attention to safety and compliance.

The incumbent will read schematics, perform PMs, and implement improvements to reduce downtime. Night shift begins at 9:00 PM and extends to 5:30 AM, with a focus on reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Technical Field and 2 years of maintenance experience in facilities/plant environments.
• Certification in Boiler and HVAC systems preferred.
• Knowledge of Utility, Boiler, HVAC, and Air Compressor systems and codes.
• Ability to read electrical/plumbing schematics.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate repairs/modifications with engineering supervision.
• Install, diagnose and repair facility equipment and systems: Electrical service, wiring, switch gear; Plumbing; HVAC; Boiler; Air Compressor.
• Read drawings and schematics, diagnose issues, order parts, and install repairs.
• Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other machinery parts.
• Install and repair electrical components such as transformers, relays, switches, wiring, and PC boards.
• Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain water, steam, and pneumatic plumbing systems; replace gauges and valves.
• Maintain Boiler system chemical treatment.
• Repair and maintain building structure.
• Install, program, or repair programmable controllers.
• Operate cutting torch or welding equipment as needed.
• Develop PMs per OEM/engineering to maximize uptime and reduce costs; perform PM work.
• Work proactively to eliminate recurring equipment problems.
• Train as First Responder and respond to medical emergencies or chemical spills.
