Job summary

Copeland is seeking a maintenance technician to install, diagnose, and repair building facilities machinery, utilities systems, and HVAC/Boiler equipment. The role requires an associate degree and several years of maintenance experience, with certifications preferred.

You will coordinate with engineering, perform PMs, install electrical/plumbing components, and ensure systems operate safely and efficiently. The position includes night shifts and a focus on uptime and cost reduction.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Technical Field and 2 years experience in facilities/plant maintenance or a minimum of 5 years maintenance experience in a facilities/plant environment.
• Certification in Boiler and HVAC systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all equipment repairs/changes/modifications with engineering supervision.
• Perform installation, diagnostics and repairs on facility equipment and systems: Electrical service, wiring, switch gear; Plumbing system; HVAC system; Boiler system; Air Compressor system.
• Work with facilities drawings and electrical/plumbing schematics, diagnose problems, initiate orders, and install parts.
• Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
• Install and repair electrical components such as transformers, relays, switches, switch gear, wiring, PC boards, etc.
• Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain water, steam, and pneumatic plumbing systems and related equipment.
• Maintain Boiler system chemical treatment.
• Repair and maintain physical structure of establishment.
• Install, program, or repair programmable controllers.
• Operate cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
• Develop PMs per OEM/engineering recommendations to maximize uptime and minimize costs.
• Perform PM work and drive improvements to eliminate recurring equipment problems.
