Job summary

Community College System of New Hampshire is seeking a full-time custodial/maintenance worker for the Manchester campus on the 3rd shift (Sunday–Thursday, 10:00 p.m. – 6:30 a.m.).

The role includes a $1.05 per hour shift differential and duties across custodial, grounds, and light maintenance tasks. Responsibilities include cleaning offices, classrooms, labs, and facilities, operating equipment, basic repairs, safety adherence, and supporting campus functions after hours.

Qualifications

• Two years' custodial/grounds-keeping/light maintenance experience with equipment operation and some supervisory or project coordination experience.
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule and support college activities outside normal hours.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning and sanitizing of offices, classrooms, labs, hallways, and lavatories.
• Operate and maintain building service equipment and basic hand/power tools.
• Conduct minor building maintenance such as changing light bulbs and simple repairs.
• Assist in grounds maintenance including snow removal, mowing, and outdoor upkeep.
• Ensure safe use of cleaning chemicals and proper safety practices.
• Move furniture, deliver supplies, and run errands as assigned.
• Provide night watch duties and security when required and assist in room/set-up for events.
• Participate in safety committees and comply with all college policies.
