Job summary

onsemi is seeking a Night Shift Production Manager to lead manufacturing operations for silicon wafer fab. The role ensures safe, efficient performance while coordinating with Fabrication Specialists, Equipment Technicians, Facilities Staff and Engineers.

The successful candidate will drive safety programs, production metrics, and shift staffing, mentoring direct labor to operate autonomously within guidelines.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in an automated manufacturing environment.
• Union direct labor experience is preferred.
• Semiconductor wafer fab experience is preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Understanding of operations management: capacity, headcount, lean manufacturing, and scheduling.
• Ability to foster a professional work environment with trust and collaboration.
• Experience using factory computers for automation, analysis and communication; good Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with safety standards and monitor them.
• Promote a safe working environment by teaching and enforcing safety programs.
• Demonstrate urgency while maintaining quality and safety.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Recognize and leverage the skills and contributions of team members.
• Serve as reliable on-shift support for Fab Specialists and maintenance techs.
• Communicate financial and operational goals to the shift and lead toward targets.
• Develop and mentor direct labor for autonomous operation within guidelines.
• Oversee essential requirements to keep Fabrication area functioning.
• Communicate with customers and team members in a timely, thorough manner.
• Provide guidance on production and engineering issues during shift.
• Utilize Lot Priority, line balance and inventory systems as needed.
• Utilize electronic product tracking and reporting systems.
• Operate computer-assisted manufacturing tools (Work stream, Cold Fusion) for data and reports.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
