Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a 3rd shift extrusion operator in North Brunswick Township, NJ. The position runs Monday through Friday from 11:00 P.M. to 7:30 A.M., with a pay rate of $20.00–$23.00 per hour plus a $1 per hour shift differential.

The role involves setting up and operating extrusion machinery, performing routine maintenance, ensuring product quality, and adhering to safety protocols. Candidates with a technical diploma and mechanical aptitude are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or technical diploma preferred.
• Industrial technology or mechanical engineering background is a plus.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and detail orientation required.

Responsibilities

• Machine Setup and Operation: configure extrusion machines, calibrate settings, load materials and monitor process.
• Maintenance and Troubleshooting: perform routine checks, clean equipment, assist with repairs.
• Quality Control: inspect products to meet standards and adjust as needed.

Job Description

3rd Shift Monday - Friday

11:00 P.M. - 7:30 A.M.

Pay Rate: $20.00 - $23.00 Per Hour, plus $1 per hour shift differential

Key Responsibilities

• Machine Setup and Operation: Operators are responsible for configuring the extrusion machines according to production requirements. This involves calibrating the machine settings, loading raw materials, and monitoring the process to ensure it runs smoothly.

• Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Routine maintenance is critical to prevent machine downtime. Operators are expected to perform regular checks, clean equipment, and carry out minor repairs. For more complex issues, they work alongside maintenance teams to resolve problems.

• Quality Control: Ensuring the quality of the output is a crucial part of the operator’s role. They must inspect products to verify that they meet the specified standards and make necessary adjustments if there are deviations.

• Safety and Compliance: Given the potential hazards associated with heavy machinery, adhering to safety protocols is essential. Operators must follow all safety guidelines to protect themselves and their colleagues from accidents.
