Job summary

CHS Environmental Services seeks an EVS Tech III for the Night shift to maintain cleanliness in patient rooms and hospital areas using the seven-step cleaning method. You will assist with patient lifting when needed, empty trash, restock linen, and vacuum or scrub floors according to protocols.

The role requires ability to follow schedules, operate cleaning equipment, and maintain safety standards. Snow removal and adherence to confidentiality guidelines are part of daily duties.

Qualifications

• High school graduate and ability to read and follow written instructions.
• Knowledge of safety procedures in housekeeping.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in lifting patients and sit with a psych patient when there is no tech in ED (when busy).
• Collects and transports trash and soiled linen safely and restocks linen.
• Dust & wet mop daily and use floor scrubber.
• Buff floors, strip and re-wax floors hospital-wide.
• Perform snow removal from sidewalks and entry doors.
• General cleaning of Physical Therapy department per cleaning schedule.
• Clean patient rooms using seven-step cleaning process and isolation areas.
• Clean bathrooms and all areas of hospital/clinics per schedules.
• Work any schedule in Housekeeping Department with safety adherence.
• Operate equipment and store chemicals safely.
