Job summary

CHS Environmental Services seeks an EVS Tech III for the Night shift to maintain cleanliness in patient rooms and hospital areas using the seven-step cleaning method. You will assist with patient lifting when needed, empty trash, restock linen, and vacuum or scrub floors according to protocols.

The role requires ability to follow schedules, operate cleaning equipment, and maintain safety standards. Snow removal and adherence to confidentiality guidelines are part of daily duties.

Qualifications

• High school graduate and ability to read and follow written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in lifting patients and sit with a psych patient when there is no tech in ED (when busy).

• Buff floors, strip and re-wax floors hospital-wide.
• Perform snow removal from sidewalks and entry doors.

Job Summary:

Responsible for cleaning patient rooms utilizing the seven-step method of cleaning, isolation areas in accordance with protocols, bathrooms and all other areas of the hospital/clinic/physical therapy department according to cleaning schedules. Assist with patient lifting and sitting with a psych patient when there is no tech in ED (when busy). Empties trash, picks up soiled linen and restocks linen in ED, Radiology, 1 st and 2 nd Floor. Refills paper products, vacuums, wipes surfaces, dust & wet mops, buff the floors, strips and re-waxes floors throughout the hospital in accordance with cleaning schedules. Vacuums entryway rugs and performs snow removal from sidewalks and entry doors.

Job Responsibilities

• Have the knowledge and ability to work any schedule in the Housekeeping Department.
• Demonstrates knowledge of safety procedures for housekeeping.
• Uses standard precautions appropriately.
• Safely operates equipment, appropriately uses and stores chemicals.
• Adheres to Confidentiality/Release of Information guidelines for adults and minors.
• Maintains an acceptable level of competency as measured by quality assurance inspections.
• Displays competency in actions during emergency situations.
