Job summary

Emerus is seeking an Emergency Department Technician to provide technical assistance and supportive patient care on a night shift. You will collect vital signs, assist with procedures, and help maintain a safe, clean environment across assigned areas.

The role requires clinical data collection, adherence to policies, and collaboration with nursing staff to ensure patient plans are carried out. Strong communication and English fluency are essential for success in this fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• EMT-P/Paramedic, EMT-A, or EMT-B with relevant experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS/ALS preferred in many markets.
• PALS certification strongly preferred in some markets.
• Fluency in English; strong communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Collect, report, and document clinical data including vital signs and specimens.
• Perform lab testing in line with policies and CLIA regulations.
• Assist with patient activities and care per the plan of care.
• Provide superficial wound care and maintain patient safety.
• Maintain privacy, clean environment, and aseptic technique.
• Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge; travel to locations as needed.
• Attend staff meetings and perform additional duties as assigned.
